The residents, team members, families, and community of Cedar Falls enjoyed a wonderful day at their annual Summer Fayre, held in the gardens of Cedar Falls. The event was even more successful due to the beautiful weather, as the sun shone brightly throughout the day. The afternoon was filled with a variety of activities, offering something for everyone. Numerous stalls were set up, selling delightful items ranging from vinyl art to knitted goods and sweets. Additionally, a wide array of games was available for both children and adults, including the ever-popular hook-a-duck.
The team extends their gratitude to everyone who donated prizes for the raffle, which featured a large table overflowing with exciting items. A special thanks goes to Pacey’s Bakery in Spalding for generously donating a beautifully decorated sponge cake for the “guess the weight of the cake” competition.
Entertainment for the afternoon was provided by Tina, who sang throughout the event, creating a lively atmosphere. Meanwhile, the maintenance man, Graham, expertly grilled burgers and hot dogs for all to enjoy. A big thank you goes out to Graham for his efforts! The day was made even more memorable by a special visit from the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang car, which was a popular attraction for photos, and the attendance of the Spalding Flower Queen and her Deputy, who came to show their support.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable day for all, raising an impressive amount for the residents’ fund. The team is deeply appreciative of Lifestyles Coordinator Jenny for her hard work in organizing the event, as well as Leanda, Anna, Steph, and Graham for their invaluable assistance both on the day and in the lead-up to it.
