A day at the beach

This week our residents got to enjoy a day out at the beach. The residents had a great morning enjoying the sea breeze and the sound of the waves, just a shame we didn’t have the sun out.

Our local beach has wheelchairs free of hire and designed with large rubber wheels making it easier to be pushed over the sand to enjoy a day on the beach and maybe have a paddle in the sea.

The smell of the sea and fish and chips all reminded our residents of visiting the seaside, it was lovely to have a chat and reminisce about family holidays and childhood memories.

One resident commented, ‘It was great visiting the seaside, even if it was a bit chilly.’
