Amy, a dedicated team member at Beeston Rise Care Home, recently won the Unique and Values Magazine Poster competition. In a heartwarming gesture, she chose to use her prize money to bring joy to the residents by treating them to a special experience.
Residents were transported to the magical world of Dick Whittington for an afternoon of pantomime fun! Joining them were residents from their sister home, Trent Bridge, students from The Lanes Primary School, and family members, making it a truly community-centered event.
The performance, held in the comfort of the care home, was filled with laughter, singing, and a sense of nostalgia as residents reminisced about family outings to the theatre. The magical show, delivered by Shooting Star Entertainments, created unforgettable memories for everyone.
Christmas wouldn’t be complete without a pantomime, and this event brought plenty of festive cheer. A huge thank you goes to Amy for her generosity and thoughtfulness in using her prize money to create such a special experience for the residents.
Beeston Rise is grateful to everyone who made the afternoon a success, and we look forward to sharing more moments like this with our wonderful community!
