A memorable evening of fireworks at Hunters Creek

Hunters Creek lit up with a kaleidoscope of colors and laughter this Monday as we embraced our very first fireworks display. Gathered under the open sky were not just our cherished residents but also our dedicated staff, dear friends, and loving family members. To ensure a heartwarming and unforgettable experience for everyone, our very own Tiney curated a delightful selection of low-noise and small fireworks, ensuring no one felt scared or upset. It was a sight to behold, and our residents could witness the magic up close.

The excitement began to build during the day as we indulged in pre-firework festivities. From crafting firework-inspired artworks to painting a jovial Guy Fawkes, we stoked the fires of creativity. We also reminisced about our fondest memories of past fireworks displays, sharing stories that spanned the ages.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, we extended our warmest invitations to the friends and families of our cherished residents. With eager anticipation, we all gathered to watch the night sky burst into vibrant life. The display was nothing short of spectacular, with each firework thoughtfully set off by our wonderful chef JP and the tireless Tiney. As the colors painted the darkness and created intricate patterns in the night, the faces of our residents lit up in sheer amazement.

After the breathtaking firework show, we retreated indoors, where the cozy warmth embraced us, and a delectable jacket potato bar awaited. With a choice of scrumptious toppings like beans, cheese, chili, and tuna mayo, everyone could savor their perfect comfort food.

But the night wasn’t over for the children, who found joy in the twinkle of sparklers and the thrill of a game of tag in our beautiful garden. Many of our residents watched with delight as the children ran around, infusing the surroundings with their youthful exuberance. One resident aptly commented on the beauty of seeing the garden come to life with the laughter and playfulness of the younger generation.
