A Taste of Tradition: Richard House Care Home Residents Enjoy Classic Fish & Chips

Residents at Richard House Care Home in Grantham were treated to a special surprise this Friday, as their usual homemade fish and chips lunch took on a truly traditional twist.

After reminiscing about the classic taste of a proper ‘chippy dinner,’ some of the residents shared how much they missed the experience. Taking their wishes to heart, our wonderful Front of House Manager, Sophie, made it happen—bringing the authentic fish and chip shop experience straight to the home!

With the support of Alma Park Fish Bar, residents enjoyed a delicious selection of traditional British favourites, including fish, sausages, pies, and more. The generous team at Alma Park Fish Bar were delighted to be part of the special occasion, saying, “It was our pleasure, we hope everyone enjoyed the spontaneous fish and chips lunch. We would be thrilled to help out again anytime!”
