A trip down memory lane

This week residents of Sandpiper Care Home took a trip down memory lane to Blackpool.

Armchair travel allows you to transport yourself anywhere in the world without leaving the comfort of your own home and it provides our residents to enjoy a sensory experience and the opportunity to learn about exotic lands and important past events in a meaningful way.

This week we went on a holiday favourite to Blackpool. The residents got their coach tickets stamped and virtually explored what Blackpool has to offer. We visited Blackpool Tower, Pleasure Beach and even span across the dance floor of the Blackpool Tower Ballroom.

Armchair Travel is our residents favourite activity not only because they reminisce and share memories, but it also provides them the opportunity to create new ones together.

We ended our trip to Blackpool with yummy fish and chips for dinner.

Our residents are already planning where they would like to visit next.. somewhere a little more exotic might be on the cards.
