A week of birthday celebrations at Richard House

This week we have had two birthday celebrations.

Doris had family travel far and wide to help her celebrate this week, with even some of them coming all the way from America.

A special visit from the Mayor and Mayoress of Hinckley and a big surprise visit from her grandson who she hadn’t seen since he was a baby, she had a marvellous time. Lifestyle Lead Anita commented, ‘It was wonderful watching Doris celebrate with her nearest and dearest, the home was filled with love and celebration. Doris’ grandson arriving was the biggest surprise of all, it was incredibly heartwarming to watch them reunite.’

We also celebrated Janets birthday this week, who had an afternoon tea celebration fit for a Queen. Janet celebrated her birthday with all her family around her in our themed Tea Room. Bubbles, candles, presents, balloons, and cakes filled the room, Janet and her family spent the afternoon laughing and catching up. Janets smile showed us she was loving every minute!

A big happy birthday to both for all of us at Tanglewood Care Homes.
