Alice’s day at Cloverleaf Care Home

This weekend residents celebrated Alices Day. Typically celebrated on the first Saturday of July, the event celebrates the charm and imagination of the children’s story Alice in Wonderland.

To recreate their own version residents and team members had a Alice in Wonderland inspired afternoon with a Crazy Hat Tea Party, which involved trying out different hats, drinking tea and coffee and eating delicious cakes.

The afternoon was a great success with Lifestyle Coordinator Hayley commenting, ‘The afternoon was so much fun, the residents had an absolute blast’. Hayley went on to say, ‘A huge thank you to our team members for getting involved, especially the kitchen staff (Anika & Harry) and Head Chef (Andrew) for baking us the beautiful lemon drizzle cakes and raspberry muffins, they were delicious.

We finished our Alice in Wonderland inspired weekend off with some rose arts and crafts, designing our own tea cups and watching the Alice in Wonderland film.
