Amazing team members at Tanglewood Horncastle – written by Lifestyle Coordinator

As an activities coordinator for Tanglewood I like to think outside the box and believe that our activities should be fun and interesting however I don’t always think about impact on other departments, such as the mess activities can sometimes cause.

We have great teams within our homes, especially our housekeeping team that are a fantastic bunch. They are always on hand to ensure the high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are kept throughout the home.

I have often been asked what we have planned by the house keeping and they refer to our activities sheet to see what activities the upcoming weeks have in store to ensure that whatever they may need is ready. They are more than just housekeeping to our homes they are an integral part of our family and are always making sure that we are cared for and that everything our residents need is always to hand from clean bedding every day to personal clothes being wash and ironed.

One of our residents mentioned that he could not believe how good housekeeping was when he put a sheet in for the wash in the morning and that afternoon went back to his room and it was washed, ironed, and hung up in his room.

I would like to give a massive thank you to our housekeeping team for all their hard work and continued support. The team go above and beyond for their residents and colleagues.
