Arthur’s 100th birthday celebration was truly spectacular. The festivities spanned two days, filled with visits from family and friends. The family had exclusive use of our conservatory and a marquee set up in the garden. We even brought out our best china teacups for the occasion. Arthur was in his element, thoroughly enjoying every moment of his celebration.
His determination shone through; he made sure not to let anyone down by leaving before the party ended. Less than a week later, Arthur sadly passed away, but he was surrounded by his loving family who had stayed on. He left this world in the way we all hope to—held in love. As his son remarked, “That is a part of the good news too,” a beautiful end to a life well lived and well loved.
