Avocet House community open day

Avocet House Beach Open Day was a huge success providing live entertainment, candy floss, ice cream, hot dogs, and burgers, for residents, loved ones and visitors.

Richie’s Vintage ice cream, candy floss and lollies were extremely popular, the ice cream is delicious, and the ladies couldn’t do enough to help our lovely residents and visitors.

It was great seeing our fabulous nursing team who popped in for a well-deserved ice cream.

We also had some very special visitors come to help us have fun, Rainbow Dreaming brought their lovely ponies in to surprise our residents. The ponies brought so much joy and happiness! The looks on our residents faces say more than words could.

Tracey Klue Home Manager commented, ‘Thank you so much to our lovely families, friends and our community visitors who joined us today. We all had a great fun filled day. A special thanks to Travis Graham for another fabulous afternoon of entertainment.’

Vicky commented, ‘I have had the pleasure of working with these fantastic people and all the wonderful residents it was a pleasure as everyone goes the extra mile to make the residents at Avocet House Care Home smile and enjoy making lasting memories beautiful people with big hearts.’

We absolutely love welcoming the local community into our home, it brings us so much happiness watching our residents enjoying showing off and welcoming visitors to their home.
