Avocet House Hosts Successful Macmillan Coffee Morning

On Friday, 27th September, Avocet House was delighted to host a Macmillan Coffee Morning in support of the charity’s vital work. The event was held in our welcoming reception area, creating a cosy and friendly atmosphere for everyone who attended. For those unable to stay, we offered a takeaway option with cakes, tea, and coffee.

We’re always happy to enjoy some cake, especially when it’s for such a great cause! Throughout the morning, it was heartwarming to hear stories from guests about the incredible support they and their loved ones have received from Macmillan nurses and the broader services the charity provides.

A highlight of the morning was the blindfolded cake decorating competition, which brought plenty of laughter and fun. The winner proudly took home a large chocolate cake as their prize.

We were thrilled to discover that, in just two hours, we had raised an incredible £142.50!
