Avocet House provide afternoon tea for district nurses

We all thank our NHS in so many ways by clapping on our door steps or fundraising. Here at Avocet House we wanted to show our thanks to all the District Nurses. They come to Avocet House to support with caring for our residents, but some of the time they pop in if they have a spare 5 minutes free just to visit our residents.

As a thank you gesture, Avocet House planned an afternoon tea for any District Nurses who wanted to attend. The Kitchen team supported by making some wonderful cakes

As a way for our resdients to get involved we supported them in creating gift bags which were handed out at the afternoon tea, our residents were especially keen to show their thanks to the District Nurses.

Lifestyle lead Vickie commented ‘Our residents love taking part in activities that involve them being able to do something for the local community and what better way to thank those that serve the community in the way that the District Nurses do.’

Avocet House would like to offer any District Nurses to pop in if they have the time, we have take away teas, coffees and cake available for you to ‘grab and go’.
