Ayscoughfee Gardens trip

This week Cedar Falls residents went on an outing to Ayscoughfee Gardens and Café with Lifestyle Co Ordinator Jenny and Care Assistants Nicky, Alison and Hollie.

The team and residents were up and ready to leave after breakfast at 10am. They arrived at the gardens where they started the day off by looking at all the lovely flowers and plants that was around the grounds, they sat on a bench by the pond watching all the fishes and ducks, before continuing the walk to look at the war memorial and the witch’s house.

Residents then found a maze and couldn’t resist getting lost. To end the morning, they visited the café and had a treat of coffee or tea and some homemade carrot cake blonde and millionaires’ shortbread which was lovely. The team and residents returned to the home just in time for lunch.

Resident Chris said, ‘I really enjoyed the morning, thank you.’ Resident Neville commented, ‘The garden grounds and café was nice, and the sun stayed out for us. ‘Resident Alan commented, ‘It was a lovely outing and when are we going again.’
