In honour of Black History Month, the residents and team members at Beeston Rise Care Home came together to revel in a vibrant carnival extravaganza. The day was filled with energy and festivities, celebrating the rich tapestry of black history.
The residents were treated to an awe-inspiring dance performance by the talented Zodiac All-Stars Carnival Troupe, a true spectacle that left everyone in awe. Following the captivating performance, the afternoon continued with the infectious rhythms of Caribbean music, lively dancing, live entertainment, and a spread of delectable food that left taste buds tingling.
What made the celebration even more special was that our residents had the chance to share this joyful occasion with their loved ones, strengthening the bonds that mean so much.
One delighted loved one couldn’t help but share their thoughts, saying, “Everyone seemed to enjoy the entertainment. I shouldn’t single anyone out, but the little lad was brilliant. They were all good dancers though. The lady singer got the residents in the mood. The cocktail/mocktail station was very popular, and the food hit the spot. Your staff truly did you proud, Beeston Rise. Thank you for the invite.”
Another attendee added, “What a great afternoon. The dancers were brilliant and so colorful. The cocktail bar whipped up one of the best espresso martinis, and the Caribbean food was delicious. Clearly, everyone enjoyed themselves. Once again, the staff at Beeston Rise Care Home were fantastic. Well done to all involved.”
It was a day of unity, celebration, and an opportunity to embrace the richness of culture and history.
