Beeston Rise spreads cheer with Family Action Plan this Christmas

This year, Beeston Rise Care Home decided to support Family Action, a charity based in Lincolnshire that provides vital support to children across the region. Led by Amy, the team reached out to Family Action, who shared a list of 70 vulnerable children in need of help this Christmas.

Amy created a special Christmas tree adorned with tags, each representing a child and their needs. The response was overwhelming. Team members from Beeston Rise and Trent Bridge, residents, family members, and even strangers who came across Amy’s social media posts eagerly took the tags. It wasn’t long before all 70 tags were claimed.

Once the gifts were purchased and returned, Amy and Denise, the Care Manager, delivered them to the Family Action office in Grantham. From there, the charity will distribute the presents to children in various settings across the county. Family Action shared that, for many of these children, these gifts will be the only presents they receive this Christmas.

This heartwarming effort brought together a community of generosity and kindness, ensuring vulnerable children experience some joy and warmth this holiday season. Beeston Rise is proud to have played a part in supporting such an important cause.
