Birthdays are nature’s way of telling us to eat more cake!

June 10^th was a very special day for our resident Trish, as she celebrated her birthday with lots of her friends and family here for a party at Hunters Creek.

Trish comes from a very close family and they all wanted to be here (around 20 family members) to help her celebrate her special day – but big time.  Careful planning was needed with the activities, kitchen and reception team to ensure Trish was given a day she wouldn’t forget and the Hunters Creek team were only too happy to help.

First of all, family requested a Victoria Sponge with extra cream for her birthday cake, and as you can see from the photos, Louise our chef, didn’t disappoint – a huge mountain of cream.

As the weather was beautiful, the party was held in the garden, with the dining area undercover in case of rain.  Team members Sam (Activities) and Linda (Reception) decorated the area with bunting and flowers and family provided a huge buffet.

Throughout the afternoon, the sun shone down, people laughed and cups of tea flowed back and forth – all captured on camera by Linda and copies printed  out and laminated for the family as a souvenir of the special day.

As a lovely unexpected bonus, team members Sam, Linda and chef Louise were handed a box of choccies each the following day, as a thank you from the family.  Lovely!
