Candy cane open day at Richard House

At Richard House in Grantham our team always try to go the extra mile for the residents and the local community. To celebrate the end of the school term Richard House Care Home, planned a Candy Cane open day, with old school sweets, fizzy pop, and chocolate on offer all day.

The team dressed up as characters inspired by the famous Roald Dahl book Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory.

Lifestyle Lead Anita commented, ‘We had an absolutely amazing Candy Lane Day, Willy Wonka opened the day with swirly candy canes and gumdrops, our residents even loved dressing up and taking part in the day to.’

Our open days provide the local community with the opportunity to visit our home and our residents, to view our facilities and to take part in the wonderful activities and events we plan.

The next event at Richard House is their Summer Fayre on the 5^{th of} August 2023. This event is open to the public providing fun for the whole family with stalls, games, refreshments, and live entertainment.

We love having the local community visiting our home, it is especially important for us, that we encourage our residents to be very much involved in the community that most of them grew up in.
