We’ve had a very busy Dementia Awareness Week at Meadows Park, starting with a “Time for a Cuppa” event where we invited the public to join us in celebration. The event was well attended and raised £65 for Dementia UK.
We also participated in the Spring Games, a dementia-friendly sports day organised and held at our local leisure center.
On Wednesday, we hosted the Widgit launch for dementia, which was supported by two local groups, Bob’s Brainwaves and Memories Matter Café. With this launch, the resources are now available online.
To finish the week, we supported the Rotary Club’s 2.5-mile walk around Louth, starting and ending at St. James Church. We cheered the walkers as they set off and enjoyed coffee and cake in the shop to show our support.
