The festive season kicked off early at Holbeach Meadows this month, as the delightful aroma of Christmas treats filled the air. Catering assistant Sue enlisted the help of residents to create the home’s Christmas cakes and puddings, turning the kitchen into a hub of holiday cheer.
Residents enthusiastically joined Sue in the preparations, helping to chop dried fruit, measure ingredients, crack eggs, and sift flour. Along the way, they learned about Sue’s impressive baking background, describing her as both knowledgeable and full of humour. Inspired by the session, many have already requested more cooking club activities with her!
Once the ingredients were ready, the mixing process became a community affair, with residents and team members taking turns stirring for good luck before the batches made their way to the kitchen for baking.
The love and laughter poured into these festive bakes promise a delicious outcome. With so many hands contributing to the effort, these treats truly represent the heart and soul of Holbeach Meadows. Now, the excitement builds as everyone looks forward to tasting the fruits of their labour!
