Cloverleaf’s Summer Fayre was a huge success, bringing together residents, families, staff, and the community for a delightful, fun-filled afternoon.
The weather was perfect, allowing us to set up smoothly for the exciting day ahead. The outdoor seating areas were filled with Fayre-goers enjoying the sunshine with their loved ones. We featured a tombola and various stalls, including one run by the residents themselves, offering summer bunting, flower-printed cards, and delicious homemade cakes.
A BBQ served up sausages and burgers, and a bar provided a variety of drinks. The ‘Party Delights’ ice cream van was a hit, with many cooling off with a tasty ‘99. ‘Meg-A-Bounce’ delivered an impressive Disney castle with a slide, keeping the children entertained alongside the face-painting station run by ‘Helen Paints’.
Rebekah Austin gave a live performance, singing music from various decades. Residents joined in, singing along to their favorite hits, while others danced. The Fayre concluded with a raffle featuring over 30 fabulous prizes, including generous donations from local businesses such as Tesco, Heighington Spar, Play Zone, Fun Farm, Kinema in the Woods, and Jump Inc. Beautifully decorated hampers were also up for grabs.
Overall, the Fayre raised over £700 for the residents’ fund, an achievement made possible by the incredible support from the team, families, and the local community. It was a fantastic afternoon enjoyed by all.
Margaret, the wife of a resident, remarked, “What a lot of hard work went into organizing that. Well done to all the staff.”
Alison, a resident’s daughter, said, “Great afternoon. Thank you to the team for a great event. Adults’ bouncy castle next year, please.”
Sandie and Les, daughter and son-in-law, added, “Thank you for a nice afternoon, Hayley and the team.”
