Home Manager Gemma, was delighted to welcome County and District Councillors Elizabeth Sneath and Tracey Carter, District and Parish Councillor Sophie Hutchinson and Parish Councillors Isobel Hutchinson and Pat Ward to Holbeach Meadows for a tour of the home and it’s wonderful facilities and to showcase some of the fabulous work the team do for the residents here.
The councillors enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea, prepared by the catering team, while hearing about some of the recent events that have taken place and the plans for the future of the home, before having a look around.
Elizabeth is a member of the East Midlands Adult Social Care and Health Councillor Network for the County Council and portfolio holder for health and well-being, conservation and heritage for the District Council, Tracey is on the Adults and Community Wellbeing Scrutiny Committee for the County Council and portfolio holder for communities and operational housing for the District Council, Sophie, Isobel and Pat are all members of the Holbeach Parish Council, so we were very pleased they were able to take time out of their busy schedules to visit us and hear about the work we do. All were very impressed with the home, our facilities, the lifestyle we offer our residents and the vision we have for Holbeach Meadows, commenting how refreshing the approach to residential care was in the home.
