At Cedar Falls Care Home, we had a fantastic time celebrating Country and Western Day! Our Lifestyle Coordinator, Jenny, came up with a brilliant idea for a cowboy-themed event. With the help of Leanda, they transformed the place with balloons, horses, and even a giant cactus.
Residents enjoyed lively country music while our staff dressed up in their best cowboy and cowgirl outfits. Jenny even channelled Woody from Toy Story, while Leanda donned a giant inflatable cow costume. Manager Anna took the reins as a jockey, and Care Manager Charlotte joined in the fun as well!
Jenny and Melissa got creative, applying temporary tattoos to residents and helping them craft their own sheriff badges, turning everyone into cowboys and cowgirls for the day. One of the highlights was a hilarious horse race between Anna and Charlotte, with Leanda playfully chasing after them down the corridor.
There were plenty of laughs and smiles throughout the day—some residents even laughed so hard they shed a few happy tears! A huge shout-out to all the staff who dressed up and made this day unforgettable, bringing joy to all our residents at Cedar Falls!
