Get ready to tap your feet and groove to the beat, because Live Music Now has something special in store for you!
Live Music Now recently reached out to Toray Pines, and they’ve brought along another sensational group to add a dash of musical magic to your days. Now, they say Friday the 13th might be unlucky for some, but at Toray Pines, it’s where the real fun begins. The incredibly talented Folk Band, Dovetail Trio, graced us with their presence, serenading us with an array of toe-tapping tunes. We’re talking classics like “Dancing Queen,” “Yellow Submarine,” and “I’m a Believer” to name just a few.
But here’s the twist that’ll have you grinning from ear to ear: it wasn’t just the band doing all the entertaining. Our amazing team and residents didn’t miss a beat and joined in the musical merriment. Clapping, singing, and even busting out some dance moves, they made sure every note was met with enthusiastic applause.
And here’s a little secret – Toray Pines is no stranger to the delights of Live Music Now. It’s like an old friend who drops by to spread the joy, love, and a sprinkle of excitement. The result? Smiles and laughter that reach every corner of our beloved home.
Now, here’s a little insider info: Live Music Now is backed by the fantastic Burgley Family Foundation. They’re the real champions behind the scenes, ensuring that we’re always grooving to great tunes.
But that’s not all; let’s dive into the world of Dovetail Trio! With Rosie Hood leading the vocals and fiddle, Jamie Roberts strumming the guitar and chiming in with vocals, and Matt Quinn showing his duet concertina prowess, it’s a musical dream team. They breathe new life into traditional folk songs with their unique energy and talent. This trio has been weaving musical tales and celebrating their heritage since their formation in 2014. From “Wing of Evening” to “Bold Champions,” their albums have resonated with audiences far and wide. They’ve graced folk clubs in the UK and Canada, rocked the stages at leading festivals like the Cambridge Folk Festival and Sidmouth Folk Week, and even had the honor of performing live on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio 3!
But here’s the cherry on top: our dear friend, Phil, couldn’t help but be transported back in time during the performance. He revealed that he used to play in a folk band before he met his wife. And let me tell you, the concert rekindled those treasured memories, spreading a gigantic, ear-to-ear smile across his face.
So there you have it, a day filled with music, memories, and loads of happiness. Live Music Now and the Dovetail Trio have done it again, ensuring that the rhythm of life at Toray Pines never misses a beat. Stay tuned for more musical magic coming your way soon!
