Residents at Holbeach Meadows went all out to celebrate Halloween! The reception area was transformed with spooky decorations to welcome visitors, and residents enjoyed Halloween-themed games like bingo and target ball. They also carved pumpkins, painted Halloween scenes, and watched Hocus Pocus in our cinema. Even our pet therapy dog, Freddie, got in the spirit with a festive costume!
The highlight of the week was our Halloween party, where we welcomed families, team members, and local community members for an afternoon of fun. Residents and children decorated cupcakes, crafted pumpkin decorations, and played games like witch’s hat hoopla, Halloween target ball, and eyeball pong. Our residents judged the children’s costumes, crowning a little Prince Charming as the winner, before handing out sweets in a trick-or-treat finale.
At Holbeach Meadows, we’re proud to offer an intergenerational therapy program as a key part of our activities. This program, which brings children into the home twice a month and on special occasions, has been shown to benefit residents’ mental, emotional, and physical well-being. Having young visitors always lifts spirits and brings smiles to everyone’s faces.
We’re excited to host more events in the lead-up to Christmas, where the community will be invited to join us. Follow our Facebook page to stay updated!
