Holbeach Meadows embraces the festive spirit with Christmas cheer and activities

The holiday season is well underway at Holbeach Meadows, with residents and team members coming together for a series of heartwarming festive activities that have brought joy and community spirit to the home.

The celebrations began with a Christmas baking session led by Catering Assistant Sue, who turned the kitchen into a hub of holiday cheer. Residents enthusiastically joined in, helping to chop dried fruit, measure ingredients, crack eggs, and sift flour to create delicious Christmas cakes and puddings. Along the way, Sue shared stories from her impressive baking background, delighting participants with her knowledge and humor. The session was such a hit that many residents are already asking for more cooking club activities with her!

Adding to the festive excitement, residents enjoyed a magical outing as part of the second Myley Tours trip. This week’s adventure took them to Springfields to marvel at the Christmas lights and stroll through the enchanting Winter Wonderland walk. The evening concluded with a cozy gathering over hot drinks at a nearby restaurant, warming hearts and hands alike.

The holiday festivities continued with a successful Christmas Fayre on Sunday, which residents and visitors alike hailed as the best yet. The event featured engaging games, a sell-out tombola, and an impressive raffle that raised funds for the community. Residents contributed to the occasion by creating beautiful stalls, and Santa himself (portrayed by the wonderful Peter) added extra holiday magic.
