Who doesn’t love ice cream in warm weather? When National Ice Cream Day arrived, we knew we had to celebrate in style with our very own build-your-own ice cream bar. In the days leading up to the event, Tiney spoke with residents to find out their favorite toppings, ensuring everyone had exactly what they wanted.
Tiney then headed to Tesco to gather all the necessary supplies, returning with everything needed for the ultimate ice cream bar. We offered a variety of ice cream flavors, a range of sauces, crushed nuts, chocolate chips and chunks, sprinkles, strawberries, cherries, and marshmallows. We even provided ice cream cones for those who preferred them over bowls.
On the day of the event, Tiney and Saskia took the ice cream bar to each resident, helping them create their dream ice cream sundae. The treat was a hit, enjoyed by residents and staff alike.
However, due to the warm weather, we faced a challenge keeping the ice cream frozen. One of our wonderful family members came to the rescue with an incredible gift—a brand new cool box on wheels. This generous donation ensures that we can keep our cold treats perfectly chilled throughout the summer.
We are immensely grateful for this addition to our inventory, which will greatly benefit everyone at Hunters Creek this summer. Thank you for making our celebrations even sweeter!
