My name is Anna Wojtkowiak and I am the new Home Manager at Cedar Falls Care Home in Spalding.
Before joining Cedar Falls Care Home in a career that has spanned 18 years, I have had the pleasure to work in a variety of different roles and settings. This has included working as Deputy Manager for Tanglewood Care Homes at Hunters Creek Care Home in Boston for the last 2 years and more recently as a General Care Home Manager in Norfolk.
My career in healthcare started in 2005. I have worked as a Care Assistant for large care home groups such as Barchester Healthcare progressing to a Team Leader position. As I developed in my career, I became increasingly passionate and dedicated about caring for others and decided to undertake formal Nursing Studies. I am proud that I graduated in 2012 as a Registered General Nurse. After graduation, I developed my career to work as a Senior Lead Nurse and Unit Manager in a specialised Neurological Care Centre for both adults and children with complex care needs. To develop a broad spectrum of experience, I have also worked in a variety of hospital and community care settings to gain different skills and knowledge. This has always involved working closely with many other healthcare professionals and members of the local community – an aspect of each role that I enjoy.
I am thrilled to be managing Cedar Falls Care Home and I am looking forward to meeting all healthcare professionals from the surrounding area including Social Services, Local Authorities, Surgeries, Continuing Healthcare, Safeguarding Team, and the Care Quality Commission, all of whom I am committed to work with closely and collaboratively.
I am keen to build on the commitment of the team to nurture an ethos and culture in the home to ensure that all the residents receive a high standard of care.
