Charlotte has worked in the care sector for the last 15 years, working in several different roles and settings, including mental health sector, older adults’ services as well as younger adults. Charlotte has previously managed a supported living service and is therefore looking forward to the new challenge of working with the team at Sandpiper in a care home setting.
Charlotte started her journey with Tanglewood as a night senior carer, and progressed to Deputy Care Manager, before her recent promotion to Home Manager.
Outside of work, Charlotte enjoys spending time with her family, and eating out, Charlotte is a self-confessed foodie. Charlotte has a recue dog called Charlie as well as a cat and bearded dragon.
Charlotte commented, ‘I am looking forward to getting to know all the residents, my colleagues, and resident families here at Sandpiper. Everyone has been so welcoming, and the atmosphere is one of a true family environment. I intend to keep an open-door policy, enjoy time with the residents having a cuppa and taking part in activities. I am looking forward to revamping the activities programme and thinking outside the box. I can’t wait to get out in the local community and really get to know the homes community. I am also looking into a PAT dog for the home for regular visits.’
