Joan’s 104th birthday celebrations

Happy Birthday Joan.

This very special lady has been celebrating her 104th Birthday, celebrations have included, visiting the Bomber Command centre yesterday with family and some of our team members, a tea party today with friends, many visitors including the wonderful Eamon & Rob from GoGro CIC (they arrived with a delicious Victoria sponge) and she has received lots of deliveries of gifts, flowers & cards.

A few weeks ago, team members set themselves a challenge of receiving 104 cards for Joan, they spoke about this on the radio, shared it on social media and asked everyone they knew to contribute. Some days 35 cards and presents arrived, (thank you to our royal mail who really had their work cut out for them). After all the deliveries Cloverleaf managed to receive a whopping 222 cards for Joan.

Thank you to everyone who has helped to make her Birthday so very special and unforgettable, it is an honour having Joan at our care home and we hope she realised how loved and adored she is.

Joan commented ‘I am absolutely over the moon and feeling very loved, thank you very much.’
