Lorraine and Diesel lead charity walk at Avocet House

At Avocet House in Boston, exciting and heartfelt initiatives are buzzing in the air. The ever-enthusiastic activity coordinator, Lorraine, along with her charming Labrador, Diesel, is gearing up for a remarkable walking challenge this February. The duo has pledged to walk an impressive 100km to raise essential funds for Marie Curie, a charity dedicated to providing invaluable end-of-life care.

Under the banner of this noteworthy cause, Lorraine passionately believes that everyone deserves appropriate support during their final journey. Marie Curie’s comprehensive approach ensures individuals facing terminal illnesses receive both clinical and emotional care, allowing them to live the best life possible until the end.

Every five minutes, a life slips away in the UK without the care they need, and Lorraine wants to help combat this stark reality. Dog lovers and residents alike are encouraged to take part by adding their walks to the notice board in the reception at Avocet House throughout February. Whether it’s a small stroll in the garden or a quick walk up and down the corridor, every effort contributes to this cause.

Locals are invited to join Lorraine and Diesel on this meaningful journey, as any contribution, big or small, can help transform lives. Visit Avocet House this February to join the effort and cheer on Lorraine in her commitment to making a difference!
