Meadows Park Care Home located in Louth, pride themselves on the engaging daily activities provided for their residents. The home offers a range of activities. All activities are planned with their residents’ preferences in mind, they encourage residents to be involved to increase their social interaction, mental stimulation, and enjoyment.
Over the weekend residents had some furry visitors. The soft, adorable dogs were a welcomed edition to the home. Residents could spend the afternoon cuddling, petting and spending time with the friendly and loving animals.
Animal therapy has numerous positive affects for residents living in care homes. They are known to ease the feeling of loneliness, reduce blood pressure, increase movement and oxytocin levels and can also improve a residents perception of stress levels, mood and pain. All of which has a positive impact.
Meadows Park is a 66-bed home, with spacious bedrooms and ensuite wet-room facilities, beautiful communal lounges and dining areas, hair salon with nail bar and a home cinema.
