Meadows Park Oktoberfest Celebration: A Day of Fun, Food, and Festivities

Meadows Park Care Home, based in Louth, was alive with festive spirit as it celebrated Oktoberfest in style! Team members and residents got into the German spirit, dressing up in traditional attire while the home was beautifully decorated to create a fully immersive experience.

The day kicked off with an exciting arts and crafts session, where everyone had the chance to make their own handmade clay stein pots—a perfect way to get into the Oktoberfest mood. Laughter and creativity filled the air as residents crafted their personalised steins, which they proudly displayed afterward.

In the afternoon, it was time to roll up the sleeves and make some delicious pretzels! The star of the show was undoubtedly Marsha, whose pretzel-making skills were top-notch. She put the staff to shame with her expert twisting and shaping, earning applause from everyone in the room.

To cap off the day, Meadows Park did what Oktoberfest is best known for—celebrating with beer and, of course, those freshly baked homemade pretzels. Residents enjoyed the tasty treats with big smiles, making the celebration complete.

It was a day of joy, laughter, and togetherness, as the Meadows Park community embraced the Oktoberfest tradition. Everyone is already looking forward to next year’s festivities!
