Mobile community library

Reading provides many of us an escape from the everyday world, it offers us a chance to relive a different time period or experience another culture. For the residents at Hunters Creek, it is no different. After discussing their wishes with the lifestyles team, it was apparent Hunters Creek residents wanted access to more books.

The lifestyle team and the mobile community library meet up to discuss how they could best support our residents and the mobile library is now visiting us once a month, much to the delight of our residents.

Many of our resident’s love reading and the thought of a mobile library visiting us, really excited them.  All books loaned to us are personalised to each resident, depending on their interests, visual needs etc. So far, the process is running very smoothly and being enjoyed by many.
