Facilities

York Manor is set to open in September 2024 and promises to be an elegant 72-bed purpose-built care home that seamlessly integrates modern design with comfortable living. Each bedroom is spacious, filled with natural light, and paired with ensuite wet-room facilities. Providing both residential and dementia care, the dedicated team at York Manor, with input from residents and relatives, will assist in personalising each bedroom with beloved paintings, photographs, and furnishings.

Rachel French

Rachel started her career in Health and Social care in 2009 as a care assistant.

In 2012, she took up the post of senior carer for a small, family-run business consisting of three homes. During her seven years working for that company, she progressed from a level 3 to a level 5 NVQ in Health and Social Care. While working there she discovered that her passion was complex dementia care, and in 2017, she took on the post of registered manager.

In the summer of 2018, Rachel left to take on different challenges, managing a further two care homes that were in need of lots of support. Rachel loved creating good working relationships with main stakeholders and improving the reputation of each service.

Rachel always places residents’ best interests at the forefront of her decision-making. She is passionate and dedicated, and it brings her great satisfaction to know that her residents live in a happy home, and that her staff work in a happy workplace.
