Residents interview applicants for Hairdresser vacancy

At Holbeach Meadows independence and choice is extremely important, we want our residents to be involved with the day-to-day decisions within their community.  Residents’ meetings take place so our team members can implement the suggestions and decisions of our residents to ensure their happiness and well-being is our number one priority.

This week the residents of Holbeach Meadows joined the Home Manager Gemma in interviewing for the hairdressing position, residents at Holbeach Meadows are treated to weekly hairdressing appointments inclusive of their weekly fee.

In total 5 applicants were interviewed for the position. Dawn Spinks was selected and has already started the role. Dawn has been a great addition to the home and our residents are looking great.

Gemma Woodcock Home Manager commented ‘It was important for me that the residents had the opportunity to be involved in recruiting our new hairdresser, two ladies interviewed all our candidates with me, and we were also joined by a relative for a few interviews.  The ladies made the final decision about who they wanted for the role and made a fantastic choice. Dawn has been great with everyone; they all came away feeling thoroughly pampered and looking fabulous!’
