Richard House Care Home opens dementia community

On Wednesday 8^th March 2023, Richard House celebrated the opening of their dementia community.

This week proved to be an exciting time for Richard House, whose caring community is growing and therefore the 2^ndfloor has been opened. This floor will care and cater for those residents who are on their dementia journey.

To celebrate the occasion, Susan Tinkler provided wonderful entertainment whilst, residents enjoyed an afternoon tea.

Home Manager Emma Johnson commented ‘Opening our dementia floor and sharing this moment with our residents has been a lovely experience for all. We are so excited that Richard House has a second floor open and can’t wait to continue growing our caring and loving communities.’

Karl Piddington-Smith Care Manager commented ‘It is so exciting and rewarding to be opening our second dementia residential floor at Richard House, it has been designed specifically for dementia residents, even down to the colour scheme of the floor.

We are very passionate about providing person centred care.

The floor has some exciting rooms for residents to enjoy and engage within, including a cinema, well-being lounge and games room.’

Richard House provides residential and residential dementia care, in a luxury purpose-built care home. Facilities include a garden room, hair dressing and nail salon, restaurant style dining rooms and cinema.
