This week residents have been planting and giving the garden some colour. Residents, Steph, and Ian have been busy buying and planting in our garden, Norman gave the residents a lesson on how to plant the planters and the best place to put each one.
Gardening has many benefits for our residents, including strengthening bones, muscles, and joints, it also supports with balance and therefore resulting in less falls for the elderly, helps keep blood pressure at bay, reduces risk of heart disease and stroke and helps support with a positive mental state.
Well done to everyone involved, the garden is looking great, just in time for the warm weather!
