Sandpiper Care Home offer blue light breakfast to local services

Sandpiper Care Home have introduced a Blue Light Breakfast from Wednesday 3^rd May 2023 and continuing every Wednesday here on after. The idea is to provide breakfast for those who work for our local Blue Light Services in the community.

Residents Hilda and Norma were overjoyed to help the team with inviting our local services to join us for a free coffee/tea and something to eat. They enjoyed a walk around town handing out posters to our local Blue Light services. We wanted to personally invite the emergency services employees such as paramedics, police officers and firefighters to the home for breakfast and a hot drink for all their hard work.

Norma even commented ‘I wondered whether they will be able to share any stories.’

Our home wanted to recognise the people who enter these demanding professions and who support us and keep us safe every day. Having these mornings every Wednesday will help bring the community together and provide social connections.
