For the entire month, Sleaford Hall Care Home has embodied the community spirit by supporting a wonderful cause. Led by Kim Poppa, the home rallied together an impressive collection of donations for the local food larder at the New Life Centre. This amazing community service provides vital support through individual and family food parcels, going above and beyond to help those in need throughout the year.
Recognising the perfect occasion, Sleaford Hall made their contribution on National Food Bank Day. Along with the donations, they brought one of their beloved residents, Andrew, who was eager to see where his kind donation would make a difference. Andrew had generously contributed one of the gifts, so it was particularly meaningful for him to meet Rod Munro, the founder of New Life. Rod took the time to explain how the centre operates and the profound impact it has on the community.
Deeply touched by the experience, Andrew offered to continue supporting the centre in the future, a gesture that reflects his long-standing commitment to the Sleaford community he has lived in for many years.
Sherin, Sleaford Hall’s dedicated home manager, was proud to assist with the delivery and meet Rod. She expressed her delight at the growing sense of community within Sleaford Hall, particularly as they approach their first anniversary. With the continued support of their staff, residents, and local organizations, Sleaford Hall is excited to see how the community spirit continues to flourish in the months and years ahead.
