During the week of love, residents across Tanglewood Care Homes have been coming together to share their stories and advice on romance, friendship, and self-love.
We spent time with our residents this week, reminiscing on the moments that have meant the most to them across the years. We have shared some comments from our wonderful residents who would like to offer some advice to the younger generations.
Maureen, 85 years young said, “Follow your intuition and stick to it.”
“Always shower your loved one with hugs and kisses everyday.” Don, 88 years young
Caroline, 76 years young said, “Respect yourself throughout your dating and relationship.”
Another resident commented, “Love is a two way street, constantly under construction.”
Our residents celebrated the day with a variety of different activities across the homes. Some celebrated with parties, whilst others created Valentines crafts and enjoyed delicious treats.
Overall, the residents at Tanglewood Care Homes wanted to show their loved ones how much they mean to them.
It has been a wonderful week across our homes, and we have truly enjoyed reminiscing on those memories our residents are most fond of.
