When chatting with Activities Coordinator Anna-Maria one of the aspects of the job that she really enjoyed is planning for the big events and special occasions.

This year it didn’t get much bigger than the Kings Coronation. For this we planned a special lunch in collaboration with the catering staff, our own awards ceremony where all resident’s skills and gifts were recognised and they were ‘crowned’, and an amazing singer.

Anna-Maria commented, ‘Seeing everyone enjoy themselves is ample reward for the hours of work that go into it behind the scenes.’ The Activities team spent some time chatting with our bungalow residents this week, one resident commented ‘I honestly cannot fault anything about the day, all the staff involved did an amazing job. The food was exceptional, the way it was served was genius, the award ceremony was both touching and humorous and the atmosphere created was perfect, I thoroughly enjoyed everything about it. Please pass on my thanks to all involved”.

Anna-Maria commented ‘No event and especially one of this size isn’t facilitated in isolation, it takes all of the staff working together to really pull it off, and our bungalow resident’s comments were really the proof that we do have an excellent team of staff here who work together well in order to make sure that our residents are able to enjoy their time here as much as possible.’
