Toray Pines pride themselves on the exceptional care they provide, one resident Sylvia Thomas lived a life of solitary at home with the support of her family. After moving to Toray Pines 2 years ago, with the support of the team her whole lifestyle changed. Sylvia began to join in with all activities including arts and crafts, physical games such as balloon volley and parties and fayres. Sylvia started to enjoy having a more sociable life whilst also having time to enjoy her own personal space too.
As with most of our residents, their family’s support is second to none. Sian and Andy, Sylvia’s Daughter and son-in-law have always supported the team at Toray Pines by attending every event. Joining in with afternoon teas and Christmas lunches, entertaining our residents with their amazing jiving and now after the sad passing of Sylvia last month, Sian and Andy have expressed their sincere thanks to the team at Toray Pines with an extremely generous donation to the Team members fund, which was gratefully received by Home Manager Sherin Kandi, Deputy Manager Ellie Wibberley and Regional Manager Caroline Greaves and the Team at Toray Pines
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Sylvia’s family for their extreme generosity. Sylvia was a huge part of Toray Pines and will be dearly missed by residents and team members alike.
