Do we really know who’s taking care of our residents? Well, in our midst, we have a true champion! Let us introduce you to Becky Franks, a Senior Carer at Richard House in Grantham. Becky’s journey began in the pool at the tender age of four. By the time she was just 11, she was already representing Central England on the international stage.
At 13, Becky earned her first bronze medal for England at the London Aquatic Centre, and she was also honored as Lincolnshire’s Young Disability Sport Person of the Year. Her talent didn’t stop there – at 17, Becky competed for Great Britain at the World Series, where she made it to the finals and finished 6th in the world!
Becky retired from competitive swimming in 2020 due to the impact of Covid. Otherwise, she would have been a strong contender for the Tokyo Olympics trials.
Now, Becky brings that same dedication and excellence to her role as a carer. We’re incredibly proud to have such a world-class individual looking after our residents.
Becky’s story is truly inspiring and highlights the exceptional care and commitment she brings to our team every day.
