York Manor Grand Opening

Tanglewood Care Services proudly celebrated the grand opening of York Manor Care Home, the company’s 16th home, in the scenic village of Rawcliffe, just outside of York. This new addition reflects Tanglewood’s continued commitment to providing exceptional, compassionate care within a welcoming environment.

The grand opening event was filled with memorable moments and vibrant celebrations. Attendees were treated to a delicious menu crafted by York Manor’s talented chefs, showcasing the care home’s focus on high-quality dining experiences. Entertainment was also a highlight, featuring live music by the Lifestyle Co-Ordinator, Carla, and an enchanting performance by the children from Clifton with Rawcliffe Primary School.

Key speakers included Karen, Director of Development and Estates, Martin Hutson Managing Director for Torsion Care and Ian Donaghy, award-winning filmmaker and renowned dementia advocate. Each shared words of inspiration and emphasised the home’s mission of creating a caring community for all residents.

The event’s ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by York Manor’s very first resident, Anne, marking an emotional and heartfelt moment in the home’s official opening.

Guests also enjoyed an open cocktail bar, guided tours of the facility, and a glimpse of the inviting spaces and amenities York Manor offers. Tanglewood Care Services is thrilled to welcome future residents into this warm and vibrant community.
